Carl A. Fanno, 70, of New Castle, passed away the evening of March 14, 2016 at Jameson Memorial Hospital. Born on August 29, 1945 in Ellwood City, PA, he was the son of the late Carl W. and Virginia Innocent Fanno. Carl had worked as a manager for McDonalds, and he later worked at the New Castle YMCA. He had been a reflexologist. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Maronite Catholic Church. Carl earned a black belt in Aikido and enjoyed cooking. Carl is survived by his brothers, Frank Fanno in Granger, IN, Guy Fanno of New Castle, John Fanno of Ellwood City, PA; sisters, Maureen McKee of South Bend, IN and Diane Fanno of Edinboro, PA; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Fanno, and sister, Elizabeth Arthur. Visitation will be held Friday from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S Mill St. A procession will leave the funeral home Saturday at 9:30am to attend a Funeral Liturgy at 10:00am at St. John the Baptist Maronite Catholic Church, officiated by Father Claude Franklin. Interment will take place in Parkside Cemetery.
