Richard P. Silvester, 58, of New Castle, passed away the evening of January 31, 2016 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. Born on July 24, 1957 in Ellwood City, PA, he was the son of the late Remo and Marylee Kimmel Silvester. Surviving at home is his wife, the former Pamela Tarnoci. Richard had worked as a machinist for Portersville Valve. He was a member of Savannah Methodist Church. A talented electric guitar player, he loved playing blues music and played in two bands. In addition to his wife, Richard is survived by his children, Patrick Silvester and wife Amanda, Stephanie Silvester, and Michael Silvester, all of New Castle; brother, Scott Silvester sisters, Robin Plavecsky, Julie Nocera, and Valli Brandenburg; and granddaughter, Madeline. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Matthew Silvester. Honoring his wishes, there are no calling hours, and services are private.
