William T. Miller, 82, of New Castle, passed away the afternoon of February 4, 2016 at Allegheny General Hospital. Born on August 4, 1933 in New Castle, he was the son of the late Theodore and Della Hennon Miller. Surviving at home is his beloved wife of 61 wonderful years, the former Bernice McCoy, whom he married on November 13, 1954. William retired as a heavy equipment operator for Local 66 of Operating Engineers of Pittsburgh. He also served his country as a member of the U.S. Air Force. An avid outdoorsman, William enjoy hunting and fishing and was a lifetime member of the Shenango Hunting and Fishing Club. He also was a member of the CG’s Club. He enjoyed model trains and music, but his greatest joy came from spending time with his family and friends. In addition to his wife, William is survived by his children, Paul Miller of New Castle, Alan Miller and wife Mary Jo of New Castle, and Lynn Kwolek and husband John of Ravenna, OH; grandchildren, Nicholas and Aaron Kwolek; step-grandchildren, Lindsay Tedrow and John Maas; and great-grandson, Christian Kwolek. Visitation will be held Monday from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 3000 Wilmington Rd. Interment will take place in Castleview Memorial Gardens.
