John D. Micco, 70, of Hillsville, PA, passed away the morning of October 15, 2015 surrounded by his loving family at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Boardman, OH. Born on August 1, 1945 in New Castle, he was the son of the late Anthony and Theresa Madalone Micco. John retired from his job with the paving industry with the Operating Engineers Local #542. He was a member of Christ the King Parish. John was a lifelong member of the Johnson Club. He enjoyed Elvis music and gardening. John is survived by his children, Toni Lynn Micco of Hillsville, PA, Tammi Rannard of Pulaski, PA, David Micco of Hillsville, PA, Kandi Micco of Hillsville, PA, John Kennedy of Edinburg, PA, Julie Gidaro of New Castle, and Jeff Kennedy of Hillsville, PA; brothers, Anthony Micco of Bessemer, PA, Robert Micco of Bessemer, PA, and Ronald Micco of New Castle; sisters, Mary Donofrio and Bonnie Isabella, both of Hillsville, PA; companion, Maryann James of Hillsville, PA; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Norman, Dominic, Alex, and Arthur Micco Sr., and sisters, Madalena Micco and Donna Retort. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2:00pm to 5:00pm at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 3000 Wilmington Rd. A procession will leave the funeral home Monday at 9:15am to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am at St. Lawrence Church, officiated by Father James Downs, retired pastor. Entombment will take place in Parkside Mausoleum.
