Elizabeth “Betty” McIltrot, 67, of New Castle passed away the morning of October 27, 2014 at her residence. Born on June 19, 1947 in New Castle, she was the daughter of Eleanor Green Spayde of New Castle and the late Henry Spayde. She is also preceded in by her husband, Donald McIltrot. Elizabeth attended First Assembly of God. She loved doing crafts and crossword puzzles and singing, but her greatest joy came from taking care of her grandchildren. In addition to her mother, Elizabeth is survived by her daughters, Mary Miller of New Castle and Nikki Masters and husband Michael of Evansville, IN; brother, Ronald Spayde of Wallworth, NY; sisters, Barbara Kelley and husband Ed of New Castle, Eva Barlow and husband Matthew of Nicaragua, and Kathleen Eich and husband Thomas of New Wilmington, PA; special friend, Gregory Hall; former husband, Nicholas Padula, Jr. of Florida; and six grandchildren. In addition to her father and husband, she is preceded in death by her brother, James Covert. Visitation will be held Friday from 8:30pm to 9:00pm at First Assembly of God. Services will be conducted Friday at 9:00pm at the church, officiated by Rev. Kenneth Meyers. Interment will take place at Graceland Cemetery.
