Fannie Marcantino, 89, of Ninth Street, West Pittsburg passed away the evening of January 13, 2013 at her residence. She was born July 24, 1923 in New Castle and was the daughter of the late Michael and Clara Othites. She is survived by her husband of 60 years Michael F. Marcantino whom she married October 1952. Mrs. Marcantino was a homemaker. In earlier years she worked as a secretary for Penn Power. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved the times spent with her family. Fannie was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Parish. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Michael Marcantino and wife Sharon of Dillsburg, PA; daughter, Patti Marcantino and husband John Wesolowski of West Lake, OH; brother, George Othites of New Castle; two grandchildren, Ashley Greathouse and Anne Marie Reck and three great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Genie Othites and Sadie Othites and three brothers, Manuel, Constantine and John Othites. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00PM – 7:00PM at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 941 S. Mill Street. A mass of christian burial will be celebrated by Father Frank Almade on Wednesday at 10:00 AM at St. Vincent de Paul Church. A procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 AM for the church. Interment will be in Parkside Cemetery.
