Rex L. Bruno, 65, of Old Youngstown Rd. passed away the morning of July 28, 2014 at his residence in Edinburg. Born in New Castle on July 9, 1949, Rex was the son of the late Frederick and Helen Davidson Bruno. Surviving at home is his loving wife, the former Melinda Villani, whom he married on September 27, 1969. Rex was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of St. Vitus Church. He was known as a dog lover. Rex was a loving and devoted husband, father and proud grandfather who was very close to his grandchildren. He will be sadly missed. In addition to his wife, Rex is survived by his four children, Mark Bruno and wife Michele of Orlando, FL; John Bruno of New Castle; Laurel Golonka and husband Michael of New Castle; Amanda Bruno Hairhoger of New Castle and his five grandchildren, Carl and Ethan Hairhoger, Christian and Jacob Bruno and Ian Golonka. He is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Frederick, Barry and James Bruno. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:30PM on Thursday at St. Vitus Church officiated by Rev. Father William Siple.
