Kathleen A. Gangone, 71, of Ellwood Road passed away the evening of July 25, 2014 at her residence. She was born August 25, 1942 in New Castle and was the daughter of the late Edward and Clara DeCarbo Coletta. On June 6, 1970 she married her husband, Anthony Gangone, Sr. He preceded her in death May 1, 2006. Mrs. Gangone had worked for the New Castle Area School District in the cafeteria. She had also worked for and was a member of the Ladies of the Dukes. She enjoyed playing bingo and was a loving mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by her family. Kathleen was a member of St. Vitus Church. She is survived by her two sons, Pete Gangone and wife Lori of New Castle and Anthony Gangone, Jr. and wife Jennifer of New Castle and two grandchildren, Anthony (Trey) and Sydney. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 941 S. Mill Street. A procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Wednesday for a mass of christian burial at 10:00 AM at St. Vitus Church. Father William Siple will officiate. Interment will be in St. Vitus Cemetery.
