Vencie Chirumbolo, 91, of Fields Drive, New Castle; formerly of E. Lutton Street passed away the morning of January 9, 2013 in Jameson Hospital. She was born October 12, 1921 in Ellwood City, PA and was the daughter of the late Felix and Rose Vescio Chirumbolo. Vencie retired from Reliable Luggage where she worked as a seamstress. In earlier years she worked for the National Pants Factory. She loved to cook and bake and she dedicated herself to taking care of her family. Vencie was a member of St. Vitus Church. She is survived by two sisters, Albena Chirumbolo with whom she resided and Lucy Thomas both of New Castle; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and great-great nieces and great-great nephews. In addition to her parents, Vencie was preceded in death by a sister, Ida Perrotta and a brother, Frank Chirumbolo. There will be no calling hours. A mass of christian burial will be celebrated by Fr. Nicholas Vaskov on Friday at 11:00 AM at St. Vitus Church. Interment will be in St. Vitus Cemetery. Arrangements handled by the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 941 S. Mill Street, New Castle.
