Janice M. Collier, 76, of Mountainview Road, New Castle passed away the morning of January 8, 2013 in Jameson Memorial Hospital. She was born November 10, 1936 in Wheeling, West Virginia and was the daughter of the late George, Jr. and Leona Borchert Bowers. She was preceded in death by her husband on December 20, 1999, the late Richard Collier. Mrs. Collier was a homemaker. She enjoyed bingo and loved animals. She also enjoyed music and was a member of the Penn/Ohio Music Club. Her greatest joy was spending time with family and friends. Janice is survived by her daughter, Karen Werling and husband Harvey of New Castle; brother, Gerald Bowers of Wheeling, WV; grandson John Connor and great-grandson, Dominick Fobes. There were no calling hours and services will be private. Arrangements handled by the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 941 S. Mill Street, New Castle.
