Pauline Nancy Biser, 87, of Edinburg, Pa. passed away the morning of May 19, 2014 at the Autumn Grove Nursing Home in Harrisville, Pa. Born in Russellton, Pa. on January 16, 1927, Pauline was the daughter of the late Michael and Sophie Zenis Herman. She married John W. Biser, Jr. and he survives. Pauline was a member of St. James the Apostle Church. She was a veteran of WWII and served as a Navy Nurse for the U.S. Navy. Following her military service, Pauline had worked as a nurse at the St. Francis Hospital of Pittsburgh and St. Francis Hospital in New Castle. She enjoyed flowers and gardening. Pauline also cherished the times she spent with her family. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, John W. Biser, III of Edinburg; Ruth Kupiec and her husband Joseph of Pulaski; and her one grandchild, Stephen Kupiec and his wife Becca. She is preceded in death by her parents, a son, Jeffrey Biser, her sisters, Helen Herman, Jenny Holleran, Ann Herman, Sophie Herman and two brothers, Peter Herman and Victor Herman. Visitation is Wednesday from 10AM to 11AM at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S. Mill St. A Blessing Service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11AM officiated by Rev. Father James Downs of St. James the Apostle Church. Interment will take place at Deer Creek Cemetery in Cheswick, Pa.
