Raymond Van Kirk , 69, of Paden Rd. passed away the evening of June 21, 2013 at his residence in North Beaver Township.
Born on February 7, 1944 in Enon Valley, Pa., Raymond was the son of the late Richard C. and Eunice Shasteen Van Kirk. He is survived by his longtime companion, Kathy Hosler.
Raymond had worked as a driver for the Mitchell, Long and Leeway Trucking Companies. He was the previous owner of Van Kirk Racing, Ray’s Trucking Company and the Miq, Tiq and Arc Shop. Raymond enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a former member of the Enon Rod and Gun Club and a lifetime member of the North America Hunting Club. Raymond built motorcycles, dragsters and was an accomplished musician.
In addition to his companion, Kathy, Raymond is survived by his two children, David Van Kirk and his wife Deb of Wampum, Pa; Michele Van Kirk of Conway, Pa; two brothers, Glenn Van Kirk of East Palestine, Oh; Donald Van Kirk of Granville, Oh; and his three grandchildren, Alexei Van Kirk, Chad Kirkpatrick and Amber Kirkpatrick.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Marion Coon.
There are no calling hours and services are private. Interment will take place at Little Beaver Cemetery.
