Otto Pardick

Otto “Bud” Pardick, 86, of Edison Manor, formerly of Carson St, passed away on the afternoon of March 18, 2013 at Jameson Hospital. He was born on February 2 1927 to the late William and Hazel Anderson Pardick in New Castle. Otto served in the United States Army during World War II. He retired from the New Castle Transit Authority where he worked as a bus driver. He is survived by his former wife, Maxine Gifford Pardick of New Castle, his three children: William Pardick and his wife Jodi of New Castle, Carole Iwanejko and her husband Rick of New Castle, and Karen Minteer and her husband Fred of Edinburg, PA, seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by four brothers and one sister. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5 to 7 pm at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S. Mill St. Services will be held Thursday at 11 am at the funeral home, officiated by Rev. Dennis Bupp. The New Castle Area Honor Guard will also perform military rites at the funeral home on Thursday morning. Burial will take place in the Veterans section at Parkside Cemetery and Mausoleum.
