Frances Dorothy Maxwell, 79, formerly of Hillcrest Ave., passed away the morning of December 6, 2012 at Golden Hill Nursing Home. Born in New Castle on May 9, 1933, Frances was the daughter of the late Anthony and Frances Marcella Viggiano. Preceding her in death on December 21, 2010 is her husband, Kenneth Charles (Tick) Maxwell, who she married on July 5, 1958. Frances was a avid reader and over the years wrote many letters to her family. She enjoyed politics and was the number one fan of our 42nd President, William J. Clinton. She was a dedicated homemaker, loving wife, mother and doting grandmother and cherished the times she spent with all her family. She is survived by her son, Patrick Maxwell and his wife Diane of Pittsburgh and her granddaughter, Caroline Maxwell. In addition to her parents and husband, Frances is preceded in death by three brothers, Patsy Farone, John Ruttuno, Joseph Ruttuno and five sisters, Phyllis Longo, Josephine Conti, Mary Ann Viggiano, Mary Puzzuoli and Sandra Colelli. Visitation is Saturday from 11AM to 12 Noon at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 41 S. Mill ST. A service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 12noon. Rev. Canon Dennis A. Blauser, Vicar of St Jude’s Episcopal Church will officiate. Entombment will take place at Parkside Cemetery and Mausoleum.
