John C. DiCola, Sr, 86, of Neshannock Township passed away on Monday April 11, 2016 at Jameson Memorial Hospital with his family at his side. Born in New Castle on December 24, 1929, John was the son of the late Paris & Mary (Mazzocco) DiCola. He was a New Castle High School graduate and a 1968 graduate of Youngstown State University. He worked for the Johnson Bronze Company for 35 years as Vice President of Manufacturing. He later worked for Lark Enterprises, Inc. He was very active in the Neshannock Volunteer Fire Company where he held various positions. He most enjoyed family especially his grandchildren. John is survived by his wife, Mary Lou (Sarbo) DiCola whom he married on November 25, 1949; his son John C. DiCola, Jr and his wife Dede; three sisters, Blance Quahliero, MaryAnn Corson and her husband Dr. Harvey, and Marcia Miot; two grandchildren, Holly DiCola and Ben DiCola and his wife Gina; and three great-grandchildren, Connor Thomas, Benny, and Isabella DiCola. Visitation will be on Friday April 15, 2016 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM followed by a Blessing Service at 7:00PM at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road, New Castle, PA. Entombment will take place at Parkside Mausoleum. In place of flowers, contributions can be made to the Neshannock Volunteer Fire Company 3135 Mercer Road New Castle, PA 16105.
