Marietta L. Perrotta, 81, of New Castle, passed away the afternoon of January 22, 2016 at her residence. Born on December 4, 1934 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Tony and Marie Domenick Veri. Surviving at home is her beloved husband of over 38 wonderful years, Larry N. Perrotta, whom she married on April 23, 1977. Marietta had worked as a sales clerk for Hyde Drug Store and Neisner’s Department Store. She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Church. In her early years, Marietta enjoyed roller skating, and she also enjoyed line dancing, bowling, and visiting casinos. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Marietta is survived by her children, Larry A. Perrotta and Michael A. Perrotta, both of New Castle; sister, Rosemary Channing of New Castle; grandchildren, Anthony Perrotta and Karalyn Perrotta; and great-grandchild, Briella. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Pia, and brother, Andrew (Butch) Veri. Visitation will be held Monday from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S Mill St. A procession will leave the funeral home Tuesday at 9:30am to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am at St. Joseph the Worker Church, officiated by Father Frank Almade. Interment will take place at St. Lucy Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Marietta’s honor to Three Rivers Hospice Patient Care Fund, 1195 Jacks Run Road, North Versailles, PA 15137.
