Rose Tommasone, 95, of West Pittsburg, PA, passed away the evening of October 22, 2015 at Shenango Presbyterian Senior Care. Born on April 20, 1920 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Domenico and Philomena Feola Lombardo. Also preceding her in death was her beloved husband, Mario Tommasone, who preceded her in death on December 1, 1996. Rose was a very active and devoted member of St. Vincent DePaul Church. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and wonderful cook who loved cooking and entertaining at home. Rose is survived by her son, Anthony Tommasone and wife Joanne of West Pittsburg, PA; sister, Nora Germanski of New Castle; step-grandchildren, Douglas Columbus and wife Nichole, Daniel Columbus and significant other Angel Reberio, Nicholas Columbus, and Robert Columbus; and three step-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Edward, Albert, Peter, and Benedict Lombardo. Visitation will be held Monday from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S Mill St. Blessing services will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00am at the funeral home, officiated by Deacon John Carran. Interment will take place in St. Lucy Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Rose’s honor to Family Hospice and Palliative Care 50 Moffett St., Pittsburgh, PA 15243
