Joseph A. Lamb, Jr., 82, of New Castle, passed away the evening of April 26, 2015 at Jameson Memorial Hospital. Born on January 14, 1933 in Williamsport, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph Sr. and Cora Lamb. On July 10, 1961, he married his beloved wife, the former Shirley A. Nativio, and the two spent over 50 wonderful years together until she preceded him in death on January 29, 2012. After 33 years of working, Joseph retired from Conrail Railroad. He was a member of Independent Methodist Church. He also belonged to the Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge 455 and American Legion Post 343. He enjoyed going to flea markets. Joseph is survived by his sons, Jeffery Lamb and Joseph Lamb and wife Andrea, all of New Castle; sister, Mildred (Midge) and Jack Payne of Austintown, OH; and grandchildren, Justin Lamb, Lauren Brunke, Jessica Lamb, David Lamb, Jeffrey Lamb, and Ryan Lamb. In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by his brothers, David and Jimmy Lamb. Honoring his wishes, there are no calling hours. A memorial service will be held Thursday at 6:30pm at Independent Methodist Church, officiated by Reverend Frederick Gilbert. Interment will take place in St. Vitus Cemetery.
