Dolores “Jean” Donofrio, 81, of Bartram Ave. passed away the morning of March 26, 2015 at her residence. Born on August 12, 1933 in New Castle, Jean was the daughter of the late Weimer and Martha Eckert Bair. Preceding her in death in 1987 is her husband, James “Tony” Donofrio. Jean was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting, baking and cooking. She cherished the times she spent surrounded by her children, grandchildren and her entire family. She is survived by her six children, Lou Ann Donofrio; Mary Donofrio; Tonie Smith, all of New Castle; Robin Kungle of Alliance, OH; James Donofrio and his wife Melinda and Joseph Donofrio and his wife Barb, both of New Castle; her brother, Weimer Bair, Jr. of New Castle; two sisters, Betty Higgins, Mildred “Sis” Gagliardo, both of New Castle; sixteen grandchildren and twenty four great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Jean is preceded in death by her grandchild, Jonathan Donofrio. Visitation is Saturday from 9:30AM to 11:00AM at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S. Mill St. followed by a service at 11AM officiated by Rev. Dennis Bupp. Burial will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery
