Martha Ann Wise, 70, of New Wilmington, PA passed away the morning of September 21, 2014 at her residence. She was born December 26, 1943 in Monroeville, PA and was the daughter of the late Marko and Anna Schmidt Zuzich. She is survived by her loving husband of forty-eight years, William C. Wise. Mrs. Wise was a school teacher; teaching Health and Physical Eduction. She taught at New Castle Area schools and Commodore Perry School in her earlier years and retired from the Wilmington Middle School. Following her retirement, she was a volunteer teacher at St. Vitus Catholic School. She loved flower gardening, baking and spending time at Challenges teaching dance. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and her dogs. She especially loved the time spent with her grandson and watching him play baseball. Martha was a member of St. Vitus Church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Chad William Wise of New Castle; a daughter, Brigette A. Scala and husband Raymond of New Castle and a grandson, Raymond Scala. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Zuzich and a sister, Rose Donnelly. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 941 S. Mill Street. A private mass of christian burial will be held at St. Vitus Church. Father William Siple will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations in Martha’s memory be made to St. Vitus Catholic School, 915 S. Jefferson Street, New Castle, PA 16101.
