Richard Felger, 81, of New Castle passed away the evening of August 25, 2014 at his residence. Born on September 7, 1932 in Edinburg, PA, he is the son of the late Merlin and Elizabeth Leeper Felger. Also preceding him in death is his beloved wife, the former Shirley Olenick, who passed away on June 6, 2005. Richard retired as a police officer for the City of New York. He also served his country as a member of the U.S. Air Force. Richard was a member of the German Club, Johnson Club, and NRA. Richard is survived by his children, Richard Felger and wife Cathy of Tampa, FL, Michael Felger and wife Patrice of Mt. Jackson, PA, Susan Carroll of Bessemer, PA, Karen Pogozelic and husband Bernie of Chewton, PA, and Laura Larson and husband Keith of Rocky Point, NY, and ten grandchildren. There will be no calling hours, and services are private. Interment will take place at Graceland Cemetery.
