Margaret Avery, 67, of N. Liberty St. passed away the morning of July 31, 2014 at Jameson Memorial Hospital. Born on January 10, 1947 in New Castle, she is the daughter of the late Orin and Erma Houk Hollabaugh. Surviving her at home is her beloved husband of 49 years, Lawrence W. Avery, Sr, whom she married on February 27, 1965. Margaret was a member of the Salvation Army. She loved bingo and bowling, but her greatest joy came from spending time with her family. In addition to her husband, Margaret is survived by her children, Robert Foy, Lawrence Avery Jr. and wife Jamie, Cheryl Book and husband Doug, and Tonya Brest and husband Brian, all of New Castle; brother, Orie Hollabaugh of Port St. Lucie, FL; sisters, Jean Donnelly of Port St. Lucie, FL and Helen Francois of Austintown, OH; seven grandchildren; and six grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Robert, Paul, and Sonny Hollabaugh, and sister, Dorothy Hollabaugh. No calling hours are planned. Services will be conducted Monday at 6:00pm at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S Mill St, officiated by Pastor Ron Eade of Church of Genesis and Captain Jeff Swires of Salvation Army.
