Robert T. Hite, 67, of Union Township passed away the morning of May 3, 2014 at Golden Hill Nursing Home. Born on September 24, 1946 in New Castle, he was the son of the late Claire and Josephine Miller Hite. Robert retired from his job as a welder. He also previously served his country as a member of the US Marine Corps. His passion was restoring classic automobiles, and he also enjoyed classic cars and motorcycles. Robert was an avid Steelers fan. Robert is survived by his children, Lia Rudiak and Robert Hite; brother, Richard Hite and wife Andrea of New Castle; sisters, Harriette Urich and husband John of Minnetonka, MN and Jo Ellen Barr and husband Tom of Swissvale PA; and five grandchildren. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 3000 Wilmington Rd. A blessing service will be conducted Wednesday at 11:00am at the funeral home, officiated by Fr. Nicholas Vaskov. Interment will take place at Graceland Cemetery.
