Brady Flamino

Brady J. Flamino, 82, of Neshannock Township passed away the morning of February 17, 2014 at the Jameson Care Center. Born in New Castle on November 16, 1931, Brady was the son of the late Domenic and Yolanda Colecchi Flamino. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife the former Anna May Venturella whom he married on July 5, 1955. Brady was a member of St. Mary’s Church, Mary, Mother of Hope Parish and in his earlier years sang in the church choir. Brady was a 1949 graduate of New Castle Area High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War while stationed in Trieste, Italy. Brady retired from Preston Trucking Company where he had worked as a truck driver. In his earlier years he had worked for McLean Trucking and prior to that he had worked for Rockwell International. He was a member of the Teamsters Local Number 261. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking and was an avid fan of all the Pittsburgh area sports teams. Brady was a loving husband, father and grandfather who loved his family and cherished all the times he spent with them. In addition to his wife, Brady is survived by his two sons, Brian A. Flamino and wife Susan of New Castle; Brady C. Flamino, Sr. and wife Diane of New Castle; his daughter, Marcia of Houston, Texas; his brothers, Chester Flamino and wife Connie of New Castle; David Flamino of New Castle; Paul Flamino and wife Virginia of Odenton, Maryland; Walter Flamino and wife Rita of New Castle; three sisters, Margaret Flamino of New Castle; Corinne Coté of St. Pete Beach, Florida; Mary Lou Melder and husband Robert of New Castle; six grandchildren, Alexandria Flamino, Lea Flamino, Christina Flamino, Brady Flamino, Jr., Douglas Flamino, Steven Flamino and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sister, Christine Bordonaro, brothers, Roger Flamino, Arthur Flamino and two nephews, Gary Flamino and Jeffrey Flamino. Visitation is Thursday from 4PM to 8PM at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 3000 Wilmington Rd. A procession will leave the funeral home on Friday morning at 9:30AM for St. Mary’s Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10AM officiated by Rev. Father Nicholas Vaskov. Entombment will take place in Parkside Mausoleum.
