Former Union Township resident Harry V. Jannetti, 49, of Niles, OH, passed away the afternoon of January 31, 2014 at University Hospital of Cleveland. Born in New Castle on August 19, 1964, he is the son of Harry D. and Joan M. DeMatteis Jannetti, both of New Castle. Always known as a hard worker, Harry was the owner of J & B Bi-Rite Supermarket in Warren, OH. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Warren, OH. Harry was a 1982 graduate of Union High School. Harry enjoyed visiting casinos and golfing, but his greatest joy came from spending time with his family and friends, especially his nieces, nephews, and his cat, Alexander. In addition to his parents, Harry is survived by his sisters, Susan Sallmen and husband Tim of New Castle, Lynne Ransom and husband Lee of Wampum, PA, and Karen Stewart and husband Richard of New Castle; nephews, Lucas, Jordan, R.J., Tim, and Ryan; and nieces, Nicole, Alexa, and Marina. Harry is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Antonia and Vincent DeMatteis, and paternal grandparents, Dominick and Devina Jannetti. Visitation will be held Tuesday 4pm to 8pm at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S Mill St. A procession will leave the funeral home Wednesday at 9:30am to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Vitus Church at 10am, officiated by Reverend Frank Almade. Interment will take place at Madonna Cemetery.
