Dorothy (Cookie) Prestopine, 66, of Union Township passed away the morning of November 27, 2013 in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born February 5, 1947 in New Castle and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Julia Conti Conglose.
In earlier years, Dorothy worked for First National Bank. She had also worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Reed. She was a member of St. Vitus Church, a member and past officer of the church’s Ladies Guild and a member of the guild’s Sunshine Committee. She enjoyed reading and especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Dorothy is survived by two children, Susan Wellman and husband Rodney of Trabuco Canyon, CA and David Prestopine and wife Shannon of New Castle; one sister, Beverly Urian and husband Ron of New Castle and three grandchildren, Cameron, Camryn and Hayden.
Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 941 S. Mill Street. A procession will leave the funeral home on Saturday at 12:30 PM for a mass of christian burial to be celebrated at 1:00 PM at St. Vitus Church. Father Nicholas Vaskov will officiate. Interment will be in Parkside Cemetery.
