Gwendoyln Herb, 72, of West Pittsburg, passed away the morning of November 16, 2013 at Golden Hill Nursing Home. She was born on July 25, 1941 to the late Earl and Gwendolyn Nelson Hiler. On May 5, 1961, she married her loving husband, Chester W. Herb, Sr. He survives at home.
Gwendolyn loved playing bingo and cards. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family. She was always proud of her six sons and her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Gwendolyn is survived by her sons, Chester W. Herb, Jr. and wife Tammy of New Castle, Brian Herb and wife Autumn of Seven Fields, PA, Leslie Herb and wife Brenda of New Castle, Scott Herb and wife Kim of New Castle, Eric Herb and wife Melodi of New Castle, and Bradley Herb and wife Taralee of New Castle. She is also survived by her brothers, Harold Hiler and Harry Hiler, both of New Castle, and her thirteen grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Gwendolyn is preceded in death by her brothers, Earl, William, and James Hiler, and sisters, Harriet Evans, Dorothy Pagley, her twin sister Jacqueline Polansky, and Bonnie Lou Kaufman.
Private calling hours and services will be held.
Burial will be held at Parkside Cemetery.
