Lucille Cenname, 85, of Highland Ave, passed away the evening of August 23, 2013 at Jameson Memorial Hospital. She was born on May 19, 1928 in New Castle to the late Peter and Antonette Skelly Cenname.
Lucille retired from her position as an assistant chemist for LTV Steel Corp’s Research Engineering Laboratory in Pittsburgh, PA. She previously worked for Johnson Bronze and as a chemist for the Pittsburgh Testing Lab. She was a member of St. Vitus Church and A.A.R.P. An avid golfer, she played in and won many tournaments.
Lucille is survived by her nephew, Peter Cenname of New Castle, nieces, Anna Marie Cenname of New Castle and Corinne Calhoun of Diamond, OH, and several great nieces and great nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Ralph Cenname, and sisters, Pearl Cenname; Marie Cenname; Madeline Teets; and Laura Munziak.
Visitation will be held Monday from 5PM to 7PM at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home 941 S Mill St. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10AM on Tuesday at St. Vitus Church, conducted by Father Nicholas Vaskov. A procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30AM.
Entombment will take place at Parkside Mausoleum.
