Charles D. Jenkins, 67, of E. Wallace Ave. passed away the morning of August 18, 2013 at Jameson Hospital.
Born in New Castle on August 10, 1946, Charles was the son of the late Charles and Hazel Schweikert Jenkins. Surviving at home is his wife, the former Mildred (Millie) Trott, whom he married on April 29, 1966.
Charles was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
He retired from Xaloy Incorporated where he worked as a chrome plater. Prior to that he had worked as a welder for Mesta Machine. Charles was a avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan and enjoyed spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, Charles is survived by his daughter, Tracie Jones of New Castle; his brothers, Gary and Jon, his sister, Jennifer and two grandchildren, Jamie and Kelley.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Lorraine.
There are no calling hours and services are private.
Burial will take place at Graceland Cemetery.
