Former Waldo St. resident, Jean A. Ryhal, 81, passed away the morning of August 11, 2013 at Jameson Memorial Hospital. She was born on September 29, 1931 in New Castle to the late Carl and Julia Ettinger Gardner. Jean was married to her first husband who preceded her in death, the late Robert Nail. She also was preceded in death by her second husband, the late William Ryhal.
A true outdoors lover, Jean enjoyed flowers, gardening, and camping with her friends and family. Her true passion was for her children and grandchildren who were her life.
She is survived by her daughter, Jean A. Hill of New Castle; brother-in-law, Clyde Roberts of New Castle; three sisters-in-law, Nancy Gardner, Susan Gardner, and Doris Gardner, all of New Castle; ten grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and two husbands, she is preceded in death by two sons, Robert Nail, Jr. and Joseph E. Nail; grandson, Joseph Lombardo; four brothers, Victor, Joe, Carl, and Elmer Gardner; two sisters, Margaret Roberts and Jackie Williams; son-in-law, James A. Hill; and sister-in-law, Ursala Gardner.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4PM to 6PM at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 Mill St. Services will be held at 6PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Interment will take place at Oak Park Cemetery.
