Frank (BoBo) Stone, 79, of N. Cascade St. passed away at his residence in New Castle.
Born on October 29, 1933 in New Castle, Frank was the son of the late Carmen and Dorothy Mitlo Stone. Preceding him in death on October 17, 2007 is his wife the former Alice Sipe, whom he married on January 17, 1959.
He was a member of the New Covenant Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Frank was a veteran of the U.S. Army Special Forces and served during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Shenango China where he was a kiln operator. Frank was a member of the Sons of Italy and the Duca Degli Abruzzi Club. He enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his friends and family.
Survivors include his three sisters, Rose Temperato, Ann Miller, Lucille Cepro, all of New Castle; his niece, Regina Fagnilli, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, Frank is preceded in death by his sister, Laura Mooney.
Visitation is Sunday from 4PM to 5PM at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S. Mill ST. followed by a funeral service at 5PM conducted by Rev. Carl Sacherich of New Covenant Evangelical Presbyterian Church. The New Castle Area Honor Guard will perform military honors at the funeral home.
Interment will take place in the veterans section at Parkside Cemetery and Mausoleum.
