Mary C. Liverani, 89, of 1123 Motor Street passed away the morning of December 13, 2012 in Jameson Care Center. She was born December 18, 1922 in New Castle and was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Margaret Lombardo DeLuca. In 1947 she married her husband, the late Edward Liverani who preceded her in death April 1, 1981. Mrs. Liverani retired from Kmart where she started as a clerk and retired as a supervisor. In earlier years she worked for Shenango China. She was a member of St. Vitus Church, a former lector for the church and Sunday school teacher. Mary was a wonderful cook and very family oriented. She was known to all who knew her as someone people could turn to for anything they needed. She is survived by her son, Edward (Tom) Liverani of New Castle and five sisters, Flora Ambrose, Stella Valentino, Norma Ferrare, Rose Pelini and Alba Nativio all of New Castle. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Marguerite R. Liverani; one brother, Anthony DeLuca and three sisters, Florence Cutlip, Edna Christofer and Fernanda Leone. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 3000 Wilmington Road. A mass of christian burial will be celebrated by Father Frank Almade on Wednesday at 10:00 AM at St. Vitus Church. A procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 AM for church. Interment will be in St. Vitus Cemetery.
