Richard C. Lukehart, 82, of E. Division St. passed way the evening of May 29, 2013 at the Beaver Medical Center. Born on December 6, 1930 in New Castle, Richard was the son to the late Earl and Ida Mae Young Lukehart. Surviving is his wife the former Theresa Gensante who he married on June 30, 1956.
Richard was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean War Era and was stationed in Germany from January 1952 to December 1953. He was a member of St. Vitus Church. He retired in 2002 from LTV Steel Corporation where he worked as a steelworker for fifty three years. After retirement he worked as a part time custodian for the Union School District from 2004 to 2009. Richard enjoyed spending time with his family and will be sadly missed.
In addition to his wife, Theresa, Richard is survived by his son, Earl Lukehart of New Castle and his brother, William Lukehart of Florida.
Visitation is Sunday from 5PM to 8PM at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S. Mill St.
A procession will leave the funeral home on Monday at 1:00PM for St. Vitus Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30PM. Rev. Father Nicholas Vaskov of St. Vitus Church will officiate.
Entombment will take place at Parkside Cemetery and Mausoleum.
