Carmen Cucitrone

Carmen A. Cucitrone, 82, passed away the morning of March 29, 2013 at Silver Oaks Nursing Home in New Castle. Born in New Castle on April 12, 1930, Carmen was the son of the late Carmen and Caroline Zona Cucitrone. Preceding him in death on September 8, 2007 is his wife, the former Ruth Magno. Carmen was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Operating Engineers Local No. 66 with the Ro-Med Corporation. Carmen was a former member of the Casa Savoi Club and the Sons of Italy. He also enjoyed camping and fishing. He is survived by his three sons, Carmen Cucitrone and his wife Francine, Edward Cucitrone and his wife Vanessa, Ronald Cucitrone and his wife Jo Ellen, all of New Castle; his brother, Lawrence Cucitrone of New Castle; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, Carmen is preceded in death by his brother, Nunzio Cucitrone and two sisters, Philomena Graziani and Anna Alberico. A private service will be held on Monday at Castleview Memorial Gardens officiated by Rev. Dennis Bupp. Entombment will take place at Castle View Memorial Gardens.
