Violet E. Timm, 90, formerly of Union Township, passed away the afternoon of March 27, 2013 at the Jameson Care Center. Born in London, England on July 14, 1922, Violet was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary James Jeffrey. Preceding her in death in July of 1995 is her husband, Fred A. Timm whom she married on June 23, 1945 in London. She was a member of the New Covenant Evangelical Presbyterian Church and the Mahoning Valley Grange. Violet was a homemaker who loved to cook, bake and travel. Violet is survived by her son, Fred C. Timm of New Castle; three daughters, Brenda Timm of New Castle; Elizabeth Timm of New Castle; Mary Mitchell of Salem, OH; her brother, Ern Jeffrey of Hartfordshire, England; five grandchildren, Jennifer and Dennis Shield, Lisa Adams, Jamie and Will Long, Heather Mitchell, Joseph Mitchell and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Violet is preceded in death by two sisters, Irene Barnes, Mary Frampton, one brother, F.A. Jeffrey and one grandchild, Kristy Lynn Mitchell. Visitation is Saturday from 10AM to 11AM at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 3000 Wilmington Rd. A service will be held at the funeral home Saturday at 11AM officiated by Rev. Chris Curtis of New Covenant Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Internment will take place at Castle View Memorial Gardens.
