Rose M. Pelini, 84, formerly of Motor Street, passed away the morning of April 19, 2016 at Haven Convalescent Home. Born on June 10, 1931 in New Castle, she was a daughter of the late Pasquale and Margaret Lombardo DeLuca. On September 22, 1956, she married her beloved husband, Arnold P. Pelini, and the two spent over 35 wonderful years together until he preceded her in death on December 7, 1991. Rose had worked as an operator for Bell Telephone and later retired as a senior staff clerk. She was a member of St. Vitus Church. Rose enjoyed travelling, cooking, baking, knitting, and crocheting. Rose is survived by her children, Robert G. Pelini and wife Jane of Warren, PA and Richard A. Pelini and wife Kimberly of Allen, TX; sisters, Norma Ferrare, Alba Nativio, and Stella Valentino, all of New Castle; and three grandchildren. In addition to his parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Flora Ambrose, Mary Liverani, Fernanda Leone, Florence Cutlep, and Edna Christopher, and brother, Anthony DeLuca. Visitation will be held Friday from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S Mill St. A procession will leave the funeral home Saturday at 11:30am to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00pm at St. Vitus Church, officiated by Father Frank Almade. Interment will take place in St. Vitus Cemetery.
