Maureen J. Ross, 72, passed away the morning of March 2, 2016 at the Overlook Medical Clinic. Born in New Castle on February 17, 1944, Maureen was the daughter of the late Emilio and Margaret Kolesar Pacelli. On April 24, 1971 she married her loving husband of over forty one years, Paul Ross. He preceded her in death on May 22, 2013. She was a member of St. Vitus Church. In her earlier years, Maureen had worked in the printing department at St. Francis Hospital. Maureen was a fan of Elvis Presley and the Pittsburgh Pirates. She enjoyed taking care of her home and taking family walks. Maureen cherished all the times she spent with her family and especially the precious moments spent with her grandchildren. She is survived by her two children, Amy Hawkins of New Castle, Aric Ross and his wife Anne Marie of Waynesboro, VA, her brothers, Robert Pacelli and his wife Maryann of Gaithersburg, MD; Gregory Pacelli and his wife Marlene of New Castle; Randy Pacelli and his wife Annie of Brunswick, OH; her sister, Judy Frank and her husband Sam of New Castle; and five grandchildren. Visitation is Thursday from 5:00PM to 7:00PM and Friday from 11:00AM to 12:00PM at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S. Mill St. A procession will leave the funeral home on Friday at 12:00PM for St. Vitus Church where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 12:30PM officiated by Rev. Father Larry Adams. Burial will take place at Parkside Cemetery.
