Jennie Pidro, 92, of Laurel Place passed away the afternoon of January 31, 2013 at her residence. Born in New Castle on February 26, 1920, Jennie was the daughter of the late Benedetto and Rosina Rubeis Capone. Preceding her in death on October 22, 1991, is her husband, Eugene (Jimmy) Pidro, who she married on August 16, 1941. A devoted Catholic, she enjoyed visiting many shrines over the years and was a member of St. Vitus Church. Jennie enjoyed baking, cooking and gardening. Jennie was also a member of the Ladies of the Dukes. Survivors include two daughters, Anita Prioletti of New Castle; Barbara Clark and her husband Harry of Boardman, OH; her nephew, who was like a son to her, Bennie Tomei of New Castle; her niece and caretaker, Stacie Stefano of New Castle; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Jennie is preceded death by four sisters, Emma Malizia, Annie Maronti, Lucy Giorgiantonio and Della Tomei and two sons-in-law, Dave Young and Andrew Prioletti. Private Blessing Services were conducted by Rev. Father William Siple of St. Vitus Church at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S. Mill ST. Burial took place at St. Vitus Cemetery.
