Anita C. DeCarlo, 84, passed away the morning of October 31, 2015 at her residence in New Castle. Born on September 28, 1931 in New Castle, Anita was the daughter of the late John, Sr., and Anna Ross Donofrio. Preceding her in death on April 29, 1990, is her husband, Joseph (Shadow) DeCarlo whom she married on May 4, 1953. She was a member of St. Vitus Church. Anita retired from Augustine’s Pizza, where she worked for over twenty five years as a baker and a cook. Anita loved cooking, baking and was known for her sense of humor and always making people feel welcome with open arms. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her daughter, Karen DeCarlo; her brother, Edward Donofrio and his wife Donna and her sister, Margaret Colucci, all of New Castle. In addition to her parents and husband, Anita is preceded in death by her daughter, who just sadly passed in August, Doreen A. DeCarlo, her brother, John Donofrio, Jr and her sister, Viola Hare. Visitation is Tuesday 5:00PM to 8:00PM at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S. Mill St. A Blessing service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11:00AM. Burial will take place at St. Vitus Cemetery
