Stephen K. Stasko, 73, of Union Township, passed away the afternoon of September 9, 2015 at his residence. Born on December 12, 1941 in Sewickley, PA, he was the son of the late Stephen and Margaret Vislay Stasko. Surviving at home is his beloved wife of over 51 years, the former Venice Cook, whom he married July 25, 1964. Stephen had worked for Mesta Machine Corp, and since 1989, he was the owner of Stasko Radiator Repair. He had served his country as a member of the U.S. Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was a faithful member of St. Vitus Church. Stephen was a car enthusiast and enjoyed drag racing with his sons and grandson. In addition to his wife, Stephen is survived by his children, Stephen Stasko and wife Renee, Bernadette Ratkovich and husband Robert, all of New Castle, and Anthony Stasko and wife Kathy of West Middlesex, PA; sister, Barbara Stanley of Lusby, MD; 10 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday at St. Vitus Church, officiated by Father Frank Almade. Interment is in St. Vitus Cemetery.
