Kristen Joeliene Wingert, 46, of Highland Avenue, passed away the morning of May 9, 2015 at her residence. She was born June 24, 1968 in Erie, PA. She is survived by her parents, Joel and Avis Marshall Wingert of New Castle. After graduating from Laurel High School in 1986, she attended Lancaster Bible College. She worked at various personal care homes as a caregiver for the elderly and also as an EMT. Kristen will be remembered for her generous spirit – always helping others. She was a very dedicated care-giver to her grandmother for many years. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her children, Joel Wingert III, Emily Wingert, Cheyenne Dando, Carrie Dando, and Dakota Monroe, all of New Castle; brother, Joel Wingert in Poulsbo, WA; and grandchild, Gracyn. She was preceded in death by her brother, George (Robbie) Foy, and her grandparents. There are no calling hours planned, and services are private.
