James C. Shuler, 56, of Sheridan Avenue, passed away the morning of February 3, 2015 at Jameson Memorial Hospital. He was born on January 21, 1959 in Warren, OH. He is survived by his mother, Ethel Jones Shuler of New Castle. James is also survived by his life partner, Mark Woolslayer of New Castle. James worked as a server and bartender for Luva Bella and also worked at the Marathon Gas Station. He enjoyed visiting Florida and golfing. A man who loved to make people happy, James will always be remembered as a loving partner, son, and brother who enjoyed life. James also is survived by his brother, David Shuler and wife Debbie of Edinburg, PA. Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 10, 2015, from 12:00pm to 1:00pm at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 3000 Wilmington Rd. A memorial service will be conducted Tuesday at 1:00pm at the funeral home. The family asks that memorial contributions take the form of donations towards James’ final expenses.
