Joseph F. Roseck, 42, of Edinburg, PA, passed away the evening of January 4, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Born on January 30, 1972 in New Castle, he was the son of Max and Shirley Oppedisano Roseck of Edinburg, PA. Also surviving him at home is his beloved wife of nine years, the former Jennifer Kirlik, whom he married on April 2, 2005. Joseph worked as the music director for Christ the King Parish and as a private music teacher for the last 15 years. A devout member of Christ the King Parish, he was a member of the choir, Men’s Group of Christ the King Parish, and the Pastoral Council of the parish. He also belonged to the Knights of Columbus Council #512. A Mohawk High School graduate, Joseph attended the Youngstown State University Dana School of Music, and for 21 years, he played with The Dorals. He loved music and passing on music to the youth. Joseph will always be remembered as a loving son, husband, father, brother, and uncle. In addition to his parents and wife, Joseph is survived by twin sons, Joseph Charles II and Max at home; sister, Roseanne Hoffman and husband Brian of Boardman, OH; father-in-law, John Kirlik, Jr.; mother-in-law, Janice Kirlik; nephew, Alex; and niece, Sofia. He is preceded in death by his brother-in-law, John Kirlik, III. Visitation will be held Thursday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 3000 Wilmington Rd. A procession will leave the funeral home Friday at 9:45am to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am at St. Lawrence Church, officiated by Father James Downs. Interment will take place at St. Lawrence Cemetery.
