Betty Tubbs, 73, of Mercer Rd. passed away the morning of November 14, 2014 at Allegheny General Hospital. Born in DuBois, Pa. on November 8, 1941, Betty was the daughter of the late William and Margaret Muth Shaffer. She is survived by her husband, Leo Tubbs, whom she married in 1958. Betty retired from Kmart, where she had worked in loss prevention. She enjoyed playing bingo, baking and making crafts. Betty cherished the times she spent with her family. In addition to her husband, Betty is survived by her six children; Rodney Tubbs and his wife Franki Lynn of New Castle, Jeremy Tubbs of Butler, Lisa Yerage, Holly Tubbs, Jennifer Rascon and Kayla Yerage, all of New Castle; fifteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Betty is preceded in death by her parents and her granddaughter, Ashley Yerage. Visitation is Tuesday from 5PM to 7PM at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S. Mill St followed by a service officiated by Rev. Dennis Bupp at 7PM at the funeral home.
