Anna L. Dean, 92, of New Castle passed away the morning of September 4, 2014 at Jameson Care Center. Born on August 7, 1922 in New Castle, she is the daughter of the late Alexander and Mary Dudash. On August 23, 1944, she married her beloved husband, Harold Munson Dean, and the two spent 63 wonderful years together until he preceded her in death on February 3, 2008. Anna was a 70 year member of Harlansburg Presbyterian Church, and she also belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post 315. Anna loved nature, gardening, and sewing. Anna is survived by her children, Cheryl Lombardo and husband Joe of Phoenix, AZ, Paula Devido and husband William, Larry H. Dean, and Dennis Dean and wife Jean, all of New Castle; step-son, Daniel Dean and wife Barbara of Florida; sister, Elizabeth Beckwith of Rome, NY; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Linda Dean, nine brothers, and one sister. Private services were held at Harlansburg Presbyterian Church, officiated by Pastor Brady Randall. Interment took place at Parkside Cemetery.
