Paul B. Hunter, 80, of Butz St, formerly of Wampum, PA, passed away the morning of July 1, 2014 at Autumn Grove Nursing Center in Harrisville, PA. Born on September 30, 1933 in Wampum, PA, he is the son of the late Paul E. and Laura B. McDonald Hunter. Surviving him at home is his beloved wife of over 50 years, the former Georgia Book, whom he married in 1962. In 1981, Paul retired from his job as a machinist for Rockwell International Spring Division. He then worked in maintenance and grounds keeping for the Hoyt Institute of Fine Arts. Paul was a member of West Pittsburgh United Methodist Church. He served his country as a member of the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. An avid outdoorsman, Paul loved fishing and hunting. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Paul is survived by his children, Paul K. Hunter of Wampum, PA, Mary Kaye Wiley of Wampum, PA, Bert E. Hunter of Utah, Kathy Hunter of Utah, and Paula Hunter of Utah; brothers, Gerald Hunter and Dale B. Hunter, both of Wampum, PA; sister, Darla Barker of New Castle; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughters, Vicki Hunter and Shelly Hunter; brother, Theodore E. Hunter; an infant sister; and former wife, Juanita. Honoring Paul’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or services. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S Mill St.
