Anthony Tomai, Jr., 88, formerly of West Pittsburg, PA. passed away peacefully the morning of June 24, 2014 at Presbyterian Senior Care. Anthony “Tony” Tomai, was born in Rosepoint, PA on December 24, 1925 to the late Anthony and Mary DeNillo Tomai. He was married for 54 years to late Delores “Dee” Meyer Tomai who passed away September 16, 2005. During World War II, Mr. Tomai served in the United States Marine Corps. In his lifetime he worked for Ford Motor Company and the transportation department for the New Castle Area School District. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved to read and garden. He is survived by his daughters, Toni Tomai Didiano and her husband Fred Jr. of Warren, OH., and Patti Tomai Palladino of Washington, PA; Four Grandchildren, Lisa Didiano of Warren, OH., Amanda Palladino Gaiser and her husband Cory of Washington, PA., Anthony Didiano and his wife Gina of New Castle, PA., and Derek Palladino and his companion Stephanie Meyer of Pittsburgh, PA.; Three Great Grandchildren, Angelina Didiano, Nathan and Natalie Gaiser. He is also survived by his sisters, Mrs. Florence Monk, Mrs. Esther Johnson, Mrs. Martha Bunce, their spouses; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Tomai is preceded in death by his siblings, Mrs. Dorothy Caldararo, Mrs. Mary Caravella, Mrs. Rose Carbone, Mrs. Madelyn Macky and Mr. Robert M. Tomai. Private services will be held Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Savannah Cemetery.
