Joseph Zajac, Jr., 68, of Eastbrook Rd passed away the afternoon of May 2, 2014 at Allegheny General Hospital. Born on January 4, 1946 in New Castle, he was the son of the late Joseph Sr. and Julia Lysick Zajac. Surviving at home is his beloved wife of over 35 years, the former Sandra McAnallen, whom he married on September 17, 1977. Joseph worked as a machinist for Quality Rolls and was a 1965 graduate of Laurel High School. He loved fishing and boating. In addition to his wife, Joseph is survived by his step-daughter, Kimberly Geitner of New Castle; brother, James Zajac and wife Judy of New Castle; sisters, Stella McAnallen and Judy Kerr and husband Bob, all of New Castle; and step-grandson, Dale Glenn. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Helen Wisherman. Honoring Joseph’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or services at this time. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S Mill St.
