Juanita A. White, 84, of Southpoint at Jameson, formerly of Idlewild Ave. passed away the morning of March 24, 2014 at Jameson Hospital. She was born on November 22, 1929 in West Pittsburg, a daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth Stewart Parks. After the death of her mother, Juanita was raised by her late aunt and uncle, Willis and Bess Fye. Preceding her in death on July 8, 1994 is her husband, Robert W. White, whom she married on November 28, 1950. She was a former member of Hoover Heights Missionary Alliance. Juanita was a graduate of Shenango High School. She retired from New Castle Battery where she had worked as a secretary for twenty two years. Juanita was a member of the Grandmother’s Group, the Women of Hope Bible Study and a former member of Mickie’s Ladies Bowling League. She also enjoyed camping. She is survived by her son, Edmond W. White and his wife Darlene of Monroeville; her daughter, Brenda White of Paradise, CA; her sisters, Martha Bowie of Streetsboro, OH; Betty Hudack of New Castle; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Juanita is preceded in death by her sisters, Gladys June Hill, June Blews, her brothers, Willis Parks, infant Robert Parks, step sister, Dorothy Baker and step brother, Glenn Davis. Visitation is Friday from 4PM to 7PM at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S. Mill St. A service will be held on Friday at 7PM at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Harmony Baptist Cemetery.
