Marlea Kay Llewellyn, 47, of Sugar Hill, Georgia passed away February 26, 2014 in Peachtree Christian Hospice in Duluth, Georgia. Born in New Castle on January 14, 1967, Marlea was the daughter of the late Robert Shields and Flossie Louise Jones Llewellyn. She was a member of Sugar Hill Church in Georgia. Marlea graduated from the Lawrence County Vocational Technical High School in 1984. She attended Florida Metro University in Tampa, Florida where she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminology and an Associate’s Degree in Paralegal studies. Marlea had been working as a Legal Consultant, Litigation Paralegal and Office Manager for Credigy Corporation in Georgia. She was an avid volunteer for the American Cancer Association including the Community Action Team and the Committee Chairperson of the Annual Fundraisers. Marlea was also a Gwinnett County Court Appointed GUARDIAN AD LITEM. She is survived by her four brothers, Robert M. Llewellyn of Greenville, S.C.; Bryan W. Llewellyn of Cocoa, FL; R. Scott Llewellyn of New Castle, Pa; Jerry Dean Llewellyn of Sugar Hill, GA; three sisters, Diana Lynn Llewellyn of New Castle, Pa; Marjorie Llewellyn Gavin of Monroe, N.C.; Brenda Llewellyn Roberts of New Castle, Pa and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours are Saturday from 9AM to 10AM at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S. Mill St. A Service will be held on Saturday at 10AM at the funeral home officiated by Rev. Larry Llewellyn of Hoover Heights Christian & Missionary Alliance Church. Entombment will take place in Graceland Cemetery.
